Experience spectacular nature

Be amazed by nature's masterpieces. Visit Trollpikken, a world-famous rock formation. Along the trail, on the way to Trollpikken you will find idyllic potholes where you can take a refreshing dip.

One of the most fascinating attractions in the Egersund area is Brufjellhålene. This natural wonder is made up of narrow canyons and unique caves created through thousands of years of erosion. The caves give visitors an experience of being in another world.

Sandviga is an idyllic beach located near Brufjellhålene. Here you can relax, sunbathe and enjoy the beautiful coastal atmosphere. The golden sand and clear water invite you to relax by the sea. A perfect way to end your trip to Brufjellhålene is to take a dip in the Smellarglova, a natural phenomenon with sound effects.

Nesvåghålo will also impress you with its rock formations. The nature here will take your breath away. Nesvåghålo is a pothole right by the sea.

We also recommend a quick trip to Helleren in Jøssingfjord.

Skadberg sand is a beautiful sandy beach on Eigerøya in Egersund. With its golden sand and crystal clear water, it is an ideal place for relaxation and recreation. The beach's natural beauty and tranquil atmosphere make it perfect for sunbathing, swimming and water activities such as kayaking and sup. Skadbergsanden invites you to enjoy picnics, take great photos or just take a relaxing stroll along the coast. A little further out on the island, you can explore majestic Eigerøy lighthouse, An iconic landmark that stands at the tip of Eigerøya, a magnificent coastal location. This historic lighthouse, built in 1854, offers an experience you won't want to miss. Take a journey back in time as you explore the lighthouse's fascinating history and architecture. Walk on the moon

The nature and the area in and around Egersund has World Heritage status and is a UNSECO Global Magma Geopark. The area is full of the rock anorthosite, a rock that is also found on the moon. Activities for the adventurous

For those who enjoy cycling, we recommend a trip to Kjervall. Here you can enjoy beautiful nature trails and swimming spots while having a fantastic cycling experience. Explore the area in an environmentally friendly way by renting an electric bike here at Grand. This gives you the freedom to discover Egersund and the surrounding area in a sustainable way.

Culture and Music

For those interested in culture, there are church concert events every Monday, Wednesday and Friday this summer. Here you can experience musical performances at Egersund Church, which will be 400 years old in 2023! The blues festival is held in June, and in the transition from June to July you can catch the popular festival, Egersund Song Festival.
