Organised for the first time in February 2024, the festival is open to anyone interested in good food and drink. Egersund is one of Norway's largest fishing harbours, and the festival is held in winter when the seafood is at its best. We promise unique flavour experiences with the best the sea has to offer and much more.

Together with our partners, we can present a rich programme including a food and drink fair, lunch with delicacies from the sea and a Winemakers dinner. There will be lectures with tastings of delicious seafood and good drinks in the form of wine, beer and cider.

Flavour train with

We invite you to join us on a taste train with exciting flavours of seafood and good drinks. Participants are divided into groups and go from place to place where they are served a seafood dish and a drink. Bring your colleagues or group of friends for an evening out!

More information about the programme

There will be a small quiz at each location that the group solves together, with a prize for the winning group. If you want to go together as a group, tickets must be purchased under a name. Otherwise, the groups will be mixed by the organiser.

Winemakers dinner with Weingut Heiligenblut

Experience an evening of the best of Norwegian seafood paired with delicious wine from Weingut Heiligenblut. A family-run winery run by brothers Christian and Martin, where sustainable production, authenticity and a clear sense of place are emphasized.

This evening we have Martin with us, who together with chef Sindre will pair the most delicious flavors between food and wine. to create an unforgettable evening.

More information about the programme

The evening consists of a seafood menu put together by our own talented chef Sindre Hetland. In close dialogue with Martin from Wingut Heiligenblut, they pair food and wine and create an unforgettable evening.

About the supplier

Weingut Heiligenblut is a family-run winery in Alzey-Weinheim in Rheinhessen, run by brothers Chriatian and Martin. They have around 15-16 hectares of vineyards and a history that dates back to 1826. Weingut Heiligenblut emphasizes sustainable production, authenticity and a clear sense of place. They describe their wines as «honest and alive,» and see themselves as a link between nature and culture, between tradition and modernity.

Vinification and viticulture

The work in the vineyard and cellar is characterized by craftsmanship, low intervention and a desire for grape varieties and terroir to be expressed. At the same time, modern production methods and continuous development are taken into account. The grapes are picked by hand, and the wine is aged in steel tanks, Stück barrels and barriques. The wine is fermented with natural yeast, undergoes minimal clarification and filtration and minimal sulfur is added.

Welcome to Egersund Seafood Festival's food and drink fair 2027! The exhibition area extends over two floors. The fair is open to anyone interested in good food and drink. When you buy a ticket, you can wander from stand to stand and taste delicacies, wine, beer and cider from Egersund Seafood Festival's partners.

Kitchen takeover with Aitor Lopez

This is an evening you will not soon forget. The evening offers a unique combination of kitchen takeover and carefully selected wines, tailored to the menu. Along with the evening's guests, the kitchen team at Eigra also takes part in the experience.

An exclusive seafood menu with accompanying wine package is served, and everything is in place for a memorable evening of flavors, atmosphere and professional interaction in the city center.

In 2027, we will be visited by chef Aitor Lopez from the famous Michelin restaurant Citrus del Tancat. The restaurant has recently received the Repsol Suns (Soles Repsol), the most prestigious culinary award in Spain.

More information about the programme

Aitor Lopez is the head chef and co-creator of the restaurant Citrus del Tancat in Catalonia. With a background from, among others, Ricard Camarena and experience from Michelin restaurants, he has developed a personal cuisine with roots in Mediterranean flavors. Aitor places great emphasis on local ingredients, sustainability and clean, precise techniques.

This event is an exclusive event celebrating the Repsol Suns (Soles Repsol), the most prestigious culinary award in Spain. Just as the Michelin Guide defines global fine dining, the Repsol Sun is the ultimate seal of quality, soul and authenticity in Spanish cuisine.
