Festivals
Egersund hosts a variety of festivals and events throughout the year. In October, the Oktoberfest Egersundtakes place over two weekends. Tickets sell out quickly, so make sure to book as soon as they go on sale in May. Julebyen Egersund is a cosy adventure open to everyone. Over two weekends in December, the town centre transforms into a true Christmas village with stalls, crowds, elves, singing monks and plenty of good food and drink. You won’t find a better Christmas atmosphere anywhere else. The most popular festivals in the summer are Dalane Blues Festival in June and Egersund Song Festival in July.
Shopping
Egersund’s pedestrian street begins right outside the hotel entrance. The charming old wooden houses provide a cosy atmosphere for shopping and entertainment. Here you’ll find a range of niche shops and cafés. At the far end of the town centre you’ll find the Alti Eikunda shopping centre.
