National Scenic Routes consists of 18 selected road sections that run through landscapes with unique natural qualities, along coasts and fjords, mountains and waterfalls.
The coastal road along Jæren and Dalane is one of them. It takes you on a journey through unique cultural landscapes and idyllic coastal towns along the North Sea.
Norwegian Scenic Route Jæren stretches from Borestranda in the north to Flekkefjord in the south, passing through the town of Egersund.

Electric bikes take you far in a short time. For those who want to be active while experiencing and seeing as much as possible. Along Jæren you'll find some of Norway's most beautiful sandy beaches, and in Egersund you'll find one of Norway's finest wooden villages.
Choose from several cycling packages and cycling trails. Stay with us at the Grand Hotel in Egersund and cycle to Bryne Kro og Hotell for dinner. Or take a day trip on your bike and finish with a delicious 3-course dinner at the hotel's restaurant, Eigra Kitchen and Bar. We recommend that you bring your own helmet, but we have some for hire if needed.
