Restaurant K2 is coming to Eigra Kitchen & Bar!

On Saturday 16 March 2024, the Kortreist festival will be held again in Rogaland. This time there will also be a local version «Kortreist Eigersund». On this occasion, we have the pleasure of welcoming restaurant K2 to Eigra Kitchen & Bar to cook with us.

Ola and Elisabeth have run the restaurant K2 in Pedersgata in Stavanger since May 2020. In 2023, they were awarded a star in Guide Michelin as well as the green Michelin star, which is an honour for sustainability. At K2, Ola and Elisabeth work actively to minimise waste from their operations. They spend spring, summer and autumn preserving vegetables, berries and fruit to use on the menu throughout the winter. All fish is wild bycatch from Sirevåg and the meat comes from local farms they are familiar with; four in Rogaland and one in Telemark. They also have a garden in Hillevåg where the staff often go and pick what is there to use on the menu. On a daily basis, they serve a 10-course menu with accompanying drink pairings. Here at Eigra, a 6-course menu will be served. Perhaps we can hope for some drink pairings and there are rumours of some great canelé to end the meal! In any case, we're really looking forward to having Ola in the kitchen and Elisabeth in charge of the dining room this great evening.
