Individually, they have won several national and international awards and are two of the most active and sought-after performers in Norway. Together they have formed the guitar duo Vea\/H\u00f8ymer Guitar Duo, whose debut release \u00abNeuralgia\u00bb (2018) has received excellent reviews at home and abroad.<\/p>\n<p>They are currently working on a project that focuses on newly written music for guitar duo in interaction with electronic elements. The music is written by Sondre H\u00f8ymer and Tormund Vea (Vea\/H\u00f8ymer Guitar Duo) and experiments with effects and compositional techniques inspired by minimalism. This time they will be using electric guitars. Instead of thinking about new music for the classical guitar, they are thinking about the guitar as a whole, and have written new music for the guitar in general. With this, they want to explore new arenas for art music, including playing their music in arenas where classical music is not usually heard.
